Nag Panchami is celebrated throughout India especially in the southern part of India. celebrated on the fifth day of the moonlit-fortnight in the month of Shravan, Nag Panchami is a bright festival. snakes are worshiped on this day to protect human life from their deadly bite. In Assam, Orissa and in parts of Bengal Nag Panchami is observed with great religiousness.
