Who was the first Bengali player to score a century in the Test cricket? Was it Pankaj Ray or someone else? If Pankaj Ray, then can anybody please give some information about his career?

i am not sure but i think that it was by Pankaj Ray. He held the orld record for a 413-run against New Zealand. Pankaj Ray played 43 tests in the 1950s. He scored 2,442 runs. He was also the Captain of India against the England in the 1959 Lords Test match.
