Tanjore also known as Thanjavur is a rich South Indian art. The art originated in Tanjavoor as an iconic Indian art. with a deep rooted tradition tanjore is still innovative, varied, colorful and indeed sacred.Colors like red, bronze, yellow and gold are frequently used in Tanjore paiting. Mainly Gods and Goddesses and also temples are aptly illustrated amidst color and contour. Mainly karge figures with round and divine faces are the elementary base of Tanjore painting.
