the main focus is on cricket as a result India`s own game the traditional sports are neglected a lot.. It needs more sponsors.. more advertisement and indeed lot ,more nourishment. Talent is there what is required , the proper search and showcasing of traditional sports talent !!

I totally agree with Swaha. I also think that the focus of Indian media should be shifted towards the traditional sports of India, as it has the power and ability to influence people to love a game. I dont think there is any scarcity of talents in the field of traditional sports in India, the only thing needed is to find out those talents, and uplift and present them in front of the world.

Yes, the Indian traditional sports are neglected a lot. Both Swaha and Mona are correct in their view points. I just want to add another point. The point is that, the people administering various traditional sports in India at the moment, should be more professional in their approach. Otherwise, I think it would be really difficult to improve the state of Indian traditional sports. I think, they should take lesson from Mr. Jagmohan Dalmia, who is to me, the mastermind behind Cricket s domination over all other sports in India, at the moment.

The way I look at it is that the Indian politics is killing all kind of games in India whether it is International Games/Sporting Events, Traditional Games or local sporting events. India with the second biggest population in the world is unable to compete and win medals in the International & World sporting events. So sad...............
