At one time I had a different notion about Hinduism etc. but of late I have been exploring and realized the greatness about Hinduism. I just want to know the date when Hiduism was formed. So far i have not got any info about this. I will be happy if some one can give me an answer.

Dear friend...Hinduism is a religion which does not have a single founder. So it is unlike most of the other religions which have a linear flow from a founder. It is by tradition called Sanatana Dharma. Sanathana - eternal. Dharma can be translated as religion but better to think of it a way of life. While the Vedas mantras seen by the rishis in their experience of the highest consciousness can be taken as the Revelation on which the Hindu tradition is based in my view Hinduism can thrive without being tied to Revelation. Ultimately Hinduism is based on your experience of the divine. It seeks to enrich you spiritually till you are one with the supreme consciousness. In my view if one were to take one most important truth from the Veda it is that every one can experience the divine. ..Vamanan
