Indian jewelry has always been and will always be an integral part of weddings and all massive occasions taking place in India. Any person from close family to distant relatives of the bride and the groom if they are not seen wearing gold jewellery are looked down upon. In olden days when women used to get married and go to their husbands homes their mothers and mother-in-laws would gift them some piece of jewellery. These jewels are handed down from mother to daughter or mother-in-law to daughter-in-laws. This is how the traditional forms of jewellery have come into being. A typical piece of Indian jewellery is made with the help of highly gifted jewellers who create aesthetic and appealing designs.
