Miniature paintings are beautiful handmade paintings which are quite small in size. The highlight of these paintings is delicate brushwork which lends them a unique identity. The colors that are used in these paintings are handmade from minerals, vegetables, indigo conch shells and pure gold and silver and precious stones. There were a number of miniature schools in the country including those of Rajput Mughals and the Deccan.
