The life of a Bahurupi is a topic of great discussion. The way they take several forms and play multiple characters is applaudable.

This is one of the oldest art forms in India. Through this rural art, the artists entertain as well as educate the people.

But I think after the arrival of other means of entertainments like reality shows, video games and anroid games, these artists are loosing popularity. Except some, urban people are least bothered about these rural arts.

These people are really talented. How easily they transform into varied characters and they don`t even need any stage to perform. They simply roam from one place to another.

A bahurupi is not a beggar but he has to accept money, clothes and food from his viewers. This is his source of living. A Bahurupi`s way of living is really strange.

A bahurupi receives money, clothes and food etc as the price of his performance. This is never considered beggary.
