Many of the languages in India are facing extinction these days. For preserving these heritages of India the the Speech Science Research Forum of the Department of Linguistics of Kerala University has taken a noble initiative of archiving 25 languages in audio and video formats.

A noble initiative indeed. There is a dire need to preserve the losing bits of Indian heritage like many indigenous languages.
