Alchi Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in Leh. It is also one of the most important Buddhist centres in the region and is visited by many tourists. The wall paintings of this monastery feature various artistic and spiritual details of both Buddhism and the Hindu kings of that time in Kashmir.
