Comics were an important part of the children of 90s. We can hardly see any kid reading comic books instead they are busy in playing mobile games. What are the measures required to bring back its values and make the kids of this generation interested in reading these books?

Writi, this is a very good topic for the forum. And yes, I have seen most of the kids of present generation are only interested in tabs and smart phone games. These gadget games have made a bad impact on the children as they hardly read any comic books or go to playgrounds in the evening. I wanted to know the views of these parents. I mean what steps do they take for their children to keep them away from these android games?

Chacha Chowdhary and Phantom were my favourite pass time. I miss those days when I used to read these books hiding them inside my school books to show my mother that I am studying.

Comic books are fun to read. This gives me relief from the pressure of my school books. I love reading comic books so much that I lend them from my friends.

In our days we never got to watch cartoons and I feel that due the invasions of cartoons has lowered the value of comic books among the children of this generation.

Sonika, what I think is that if we try to make the kids a habit of reading books especially story books or comic books then I guess they will find some interest in comic books and thus we can revive the value of these books.

Remember the times when we could not wait for the summer vacations to start so that we could go to our nearest book store or library and get those comics to make our afternoons a little less long and boring? Let`s recall those good old days and make a list of the Indian storybooks and comics that many of us have loved reading for decades.
