Guys, what do you think about the maintenance of the surroundings of Indian pilgrimage sites? I have visited few temples which are very ill-maintained. According to you, what kind of measures should be taken to improve the surroundings of the temples?

Maintenance of pilgrimage sites require trained people. They also require latest cleaning tools. Both should be maintained with surplus funds. Now money had become primary criteria. Economic system is at the top of other systems like social, religious and education.

Yes Sekhar, you are absolutely right. But don`t you think that the government should take some measures to improve the surroundings of the temples in our country People visit these places very frequently. So this is a very serious issue that should be to knowledge of the public.

Recently, I visited two of the famous temples of Kolkata. One is `Kalighat Temple` and the other is the `Birla Mandir`. Both the temples surroundings are totally different. Kalighat temple is very dirty and less maintained whereas the Birla mandir is superbly managed.

Neel Malhotra, can you tell something about Birla Temple. I want to know more about this temple as it is very hard to find a clean and well maintained temple in India.

On this account I would like to share my comments. I have visited many temples all around the nation and according to me, I have a superb experience of the South Indian temples. Firstly, the temple complexes of south India are very neat, clean and well maintained. Next, the architecture of the temples are very intricately structured. This is the most attractive thing about South Indian temples.
