Christmas in India is celebrated with equal zest and fervour as in other parts of the world. Christmas is believed to be a western festival. I was wondering how Christmas in other parts of India apart from Kolkata is celebrated and where to enjoy some traditional Christmas cheer. Please share some ideas to enjoy the Christmas week in our country.

Christmas Day is called `Bada Din` Big Day in Hindi. It is a national holiday in India and people from all religions join their Christian friends to make the most of the joyous celebrations. Christian community in India celebrate Christmas with pomp gaiety and devotion. Celebrations of Christmas festival begin on the eve of Christmas on 24th of December and continue till New Year`s Day.
