The Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru, Karnataka is considered as one of the most prominent art havens in the state. It has just turned 50 and in its journey it has evolved in multiple ways including becoming an Arts College. Can anyone enlighten on this centre of art in Karnataka and its avenues of art? The place is a temple of art, worth visiting for any art lover. It gives an excellent collection of paintings that focuses on folk paintings. I would suggest my art lover friends to surely visit Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.

The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath college offers degree courses on Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Art, Animation, while also offering short term courses on drawing and painting, clay modelling, 2D Animation.

Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath has 13 museums with some of very interesting and rare collections. The museums consist of the collections ranging from traditional Mysore Paintings, Leather Puppets, Sculptures and Russian artists Roerichs. Among the other collections Kejriwal, Kukke and Krishna Reddy collections are note worthy.
