Now-a-days 3D and VFX is dominating the genre of entertainment in India. Has anyone realised that this westernisation is gradually extinguishing our very own cultural arts forms like theatre? Do you all feel that theatre`s historical charm can still mesmerise audience of this era?

Theatre in India is surely on a downside in the present time. Theatre stages and shows have gone down incredibly, consequently along with theatre artists and troupes. A handful of theatre artists and troupes conduct stage plays these days having a limited audience to attract. Indian theatre can continue to retain its charm and place amongst the genres of entertainment provided there are inputs in the form proactive promotion and support of theatre troupes and organisations in our country.

The present generation hardly knows about this art. But I won`t say that it`s dying. Many renowned celebrities are still working in theatres their grass roots.

Yes, film personalities like Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Paresh Rawal still revel in theatre. Who are such other popular theatre artists/troupes in the contemporary time?
