Wearing of Toe Rings is highly practiced in India. Both Hindu`s and Muslim Women wear these Toe rings as a symbol of Married state. They are usually made of silver and worn in pairs on the second toe of both feet. What is the reason behind wearing these toe rings especially on their wedding or after marriage?

What I have read is that toe rings are worn to regulate the menstrual cycle and thus increase the chances of conception as the slight pressure on the second toe ensures an healthy uterus. It is also said that it helps ease the pain during intercourse.

Oh my god, is that true.... i have always thought that toe rings are one of those tiny little things that are sure to make your feet look pretty and feminine. This is why many girls are seen sporting a toe ring nowadays.
