Darbari Kathak has seen its prevalence in our culture but has been devoured by public neglect. The artists of the same the Courtesans have also been frowned upon as mere `kothewalis`. But artists like Majira Chaturvedi have endeavoured in reviving this regal art form and change perceptions about courtesans and help younger audiences appreciate their talent. What is your take on this neglected art form? Will it be able to find a dignified place in our arts?
