While everyone is busy with IPLs and Twenty Twenty, very few keep track of the ongoing I-League, India s premier football league. Its time other sports in India get noticed too.

-League is the top tier league in the Indian football league system. It was started by the All India Football Federation AIFF in 2007-08. It replaced the National Football League which lasted for 11 seasons. Yes we need to notice other sports also Good point ..

There has never been a huge catastrophe of talents in Indian sports and Indian Football is not an exception. Indian Football experienced glimpse of success in the recent past when Indian Football team won the Nehru Cup. I-League, formerly known as the National Football League, is India s most prestigious football tournament that decides the best team amongst the football clubs in India. Unfortunately, I-League does not receive a popular status, when compared to other league tournaments like English Premier League or Spanish premier League. The reason probably has been discussed a number of times and the problem still remains. Its time to seriously look forward to the infrastructural lapses which obstructs the I-league getting popularized among the general masses. The crowd remains aloof and never make it to the grounds. However, the crowds that turn up during the derby matches delivers a positive hint that football has not yet become a step son of Indian Sports. So, a bit of sponsorship, coupled with good condition of grounds and medicinal facilities will definitely guide India s most prestigious tournament I-League, to reach its deserved glory.
