Its the Chennai Super Kings team of IPL that has bought the England all-rounder, Andrew Flintoff this year. Chennai Super Kings has spent a whopping amount of 1.55m to buy Flintoff in the auction. This is a record price for any player in IPL, so far. However, the former England captain, Kevin Pietersen also shares the record with Flintoff, as he was bought by Bangalore Royal Challengers, for the same amount of 1.55m.
