Only a few kilometers from Chadraketugarh Fort near Bongao there are the ruins of a massive temple structure which is locally called the `Khana-Mihirer Dhipi` or the mound of Khana-Mihir. It has survived for almost a millennium in the form of another deserted mound. Now it is under the protection of Archaeological Site of India. It is almost an unknown place in Bengal`s history.

An important place in the site is the massive temple structure that was excavated in the 1950s which is popularly known as the Khana Mihirer Dhibi.

Khana is considered in literature as a lady of olden times who authored the famous sayings which are still popular in the rural society of Bangladesh. Mihir was an Indian astronomer, mathematician and astrologer, who lived in Ujjain. He is considered to be one of the Navratnas of the court of legendary king Vikramaditya.
