Indigenous sports in India are striving hard to survive and some of them are almost on the verge of extinction. Kalaripayattu once a popular sport/martial art is now practiced by few, same is the condition with Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, etc. Will our country take any initiative to revive the tradition or our future generation will continue cheering for international sports?

India should strive to get the Indian Martial Art & Traditional Games like Kabbadi, Kallaripayat, etc introduced at the Asian Games in order for these sports to survive.

In ancient times, Kho-Kho was played on `rathas` or chariots and was known as Rathera.

Kho Kho is an Indian game. The primary sports body for this game is called the Kho-Kho Federation of India (K.K.F.I.).
