The seven sisters of North East India are full of interesting rituals and customs. They have their own marriage customs which are not like the rest of India. Can anybody share some more information about the North East Indian Wedding rituals?

Traditional wedding ceremonies of the Mizos are quite different from the rest of the communities in India. Recently I studied that there is one important tradition followed by them is the gifting of a `Puandum` (traditional rug) by the bride to the groom. This rug is used to wrap around the body of the groom when he dies.
