Badrinath, the seat of the god Vishnu in his aspect of Badrinarayan, is the most important of the four sites in India s Char Dham pilgrimage. Situtaed in the hills of Himalaya, at the height of 10,248 feet above sea level. The route to Badrinath is one of the most arduous one due to the lofty hilly terrain, curves and cliffs amidst the most scenically beautiful place on the earth. Kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the devout Hindu,located in the Uttaranchal state of India. Kedarnath, where a form of the Lord Shiva is venerated as one of the twelve jyotirling linga of light , is one of the four sites in India s pilgrimage Char Dham. The most remote of the four Char Dham sites, Kedarnath is located in the Himalayas, about 3584m above sea level near the head of river Mandakini, and is flanked by breathtaking snow-capped peak. angotri, Ganga Uttari which means descended the picturesque pilgrimage in the hinterlands of the Himalayas is the most sacred spot where Ganga , the stream of life, touched earth for the first time. Situated at 99 km from Uttrarkashi, at height of 3140 meters.A shrine dedicated to the Goddess was built some 250 years ago by Amar Bahadur Thapa, the Gorkha Commander. Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the goddess Yamuna, is one of the four sites in India s Char Dham pilgrimage. The temple of Yamunotri falls on the left bank and was originally constructed by Maharaj Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. The shrine of Yamunotri is one of the four dhams of Uttaranchal Yamunotri temple is Situated in the direction opposite to Gangotri and the road bifurcates and goes to Yamunotri from Dharasu, a place between Rishikesh - Uttarkashi. You can plan your destination in this way -Delhi - Hardwar - Barkot - Yamunotri - Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Joshimath - Badrinath - Rishikesh - Delhi this will take total 11 days & 10 nights

Hello nilanjana, for CHAR DHAM YATRA-you have to do good planning. Avoid JULY as this is monsoon time- best season is AUGUST and SEPTEMBER but be prepared for traffic jams and accommodation problems if you have not booked in advance. Specially-KEDARNATH should be booked well in advance.

Hi Brida Its time to think about the pre booked tour for Chardham, since July is the monsoon season in the imamalya region, you may strart your tour 25 july onward, tell us If you wish to arrange your tour to Chardham with very nominal charges.

Hi Guys I have spend 15 days tours in G8 Himalaya last Month with 06 of NRI guest from UK , I am little disappointed to see the worsed condition of enviroment nearby the places Gaurikund, treck route of Yamnotri & Bhundar Valley Valley Of Flowers . Can you post your opinion of Eco Friendly Tourism How we develop sustainable tourism in the Himalaya region ?
