On 5th April 2009, at 22:25 hrs, HT reported that Indian Politicians may get kidnapped. And the Pak Terrorists Al Qaeda, LeT ........ may bargain to release the 8 suspects of 26/11. When a Terrorisit outfit is asking for release of their men is not beyond any doubt that the suspects arrested by the Indian Police are culprits. Do we need any legal battle to prove their crime? Can not we punish them instantly???? Before doing this, we will have to pose a question to all our politicians who say that they are doing a great service to the society/people - Are they ready to give in writing to all the nearest police stations that in case of their kidnap by the terrorists the Nation s security should NOT be compromised and any of the Terrorists demands should be NOT be met EVEN at the cost of their LIVES. This is the election time and let us see how many politicians who are giving speeches will come forth to accept this challenge.

Its really a good suggestion Ram. But I think considering the present political scenario and the mindset of Indian politicians, implementation of the suggestion is just next to impossible. Its really a matter of regret that almost all the Indian politicians irrespective of which party they belong to, have become highly corrupted in the recent years. Most of the times, they put their personal interests above the nation s interests and their own security is far more important than the security of common people, to them. This is why, I don t think they will not give such a writing to their nearest Police stations. And about the instant punishment of the culprits, I think this is one of the bad aspects of democracy. In a democratic country, especially the largest democratic country of the world India, one cannot punish a culprit instantly unless the culprit is killed during an encounter. One has to be provides the chance of his self-protection in court, as per democracy. So, I think we are in a pretty helpless condition as far as fighting terrorism is concerned. However, I think the situation can be changed if all of us become more cautious and do our duties properly. The politicians should also become more positive and the judiciary should take prompt actions while judging a terrorist.

Well Kongkon has given ur answer in a very well wrapped manner. I have nothing extra to say, but only that India s condition can only change with the alteration of its constitutional laws and political arrangement....Let s wait for the day and also for the next blast....I guess....
