The recent decision of BCCI to move the second edition of Indian Premier League IPL from India to England is definitely a heartbreaking one. This will defy crores of Indians from enjoying the excitement of Twenty20 cricket in their home town. This will also defy the Indian corporate houses from earning large amount of revenues from the event. However, this hard decision is taken entirely because of security concerns, as the Central Government has made it clear that it won t be able to provide adequate security to IPL, due to the forthcoming Lok Shava Election. I think, the government could have been a bit more flexible considering the fact that most of the states did sanction the last revised fixture of IPL, submitted by the BCCI. Anyway, I think this is indeed an unlucky decision as far as the Indian cricket enthusiasts are concerned. What say?

Yes, the Indian cricket lovers were very much disheartened when this news of IPL shifting to foreign land came. Many of us planned to watch these exciting matches live that were to be held in different venues in the country. But to our utter dismal, the Indian Government finally took the decision of holding the matches in South Africa. The cause of taking such a decision is security as during the timing of IPL is clashing with Lok Sabha elections. It is quite surprising that the Indian Government can t even manage to offer protection to a cricket match, being the largest democratic country of the world. There are so many police men and para military forces which can be utilised for security reasons.
