Hi everybody, We all know about the recent development in Indian Premier Leauge as the dates of the matches have collided with our Parliament Election. As an Indian, I think election is most important for the country and the matches can wait. IPL Chairman Lalit Modi should have this much courtesy and he agrees with the changes in dates. What do you all think?

Yes Rituporna, I also agree with you that election is indeed the most important thing for the country. But, I think we should not forget about the importance of the mega event like IPL. It is IPL that has recently played an important role in internationalising Indian cricket, more. It has also brought a huge amount of money to the BCCI s treasury and the Government has also earned well from the event. Above all, a number of reputed international cricketers are directly involved in the tournament, as they are playing for different teams. So, I think the dates of IPL should be changed in such a manner that it does not clash with the election. Another thing should be taken care of and that is, the World Twenty20 Championship is going to be held from June 5-21 in England. The dates of IPL should not clash with that mega event, as well. So, I think it is a critical condition. However, if the Central Government and State Governments provide necessary assistance to BCCI, the problem regarding IPL can easily be solved.
