A bronze monument in Delhi, depicts Mohandas Gandhi and his followers marching against the salt tax in a satyagraha that was launched by Gandhi in March, 1930.

There is a big statue of Gandhiji in Mahatma Gandhi Park of Delhi situated at the main Church Mission Road, near the Old Delhi Railway Station and Chandni Chowk. It is a simple and small park originally called Queen s Park by the British. After independence, it was named after the driving force behind it, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Today it provides a breathing space and fresh air in the highly congested area of Chandni Chowk. The Mahatma Gandhi Park has a bronze coloured statue of Mahatma Gandhi and many towering trees around it give it a very protective look.

hello all... here i am listing some of the Peace Monuments in India Related to Mahatma Gandhi Kirti Mandir / Gandhi Birthplace, Porbandar, Gugarat India . House where Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869. Click here for a critique. Raj Ghat, New Delhi India . Where Gandhi s body was cremated, and a shrine ever since. A commemorative ceremony takes place every Friday. Prayers are held in remembrance of the Mahatma on the Birth 2nd October and Death 30th January Anniversaries. 30th January is remembered as Martyr s Day. There one monument in Kanyakumari named gandhi memorial.It is the place where his ashes were kept before Nimagnjana in Kanyakumari Sea.The peculiarity of these monument is only on October 2nd the ray of sunlight falls directly on the spot were the Gandhiji s funeral remains was kept.This moniment is near the sea.
