There is something about Indian chess that keeps everyone interested - be it the black badges that the players wear to show their dissent or their excellent exploits over the chequered board. Can anyone add on the present scenario of Indian Chess.................

The Indian Chess players have really done a great job in the past several years. The Indians feel proud to know that the World Champion of Chess is an Indian, Vishwanathan Anand. Apart from him, India is also mother to a number of other talented chess players who are showing excellent performances in various international tournaments. So, I think the overall scenario of Indian Chess is quite impressive. However, the young Chess players should be provided with more training facilities and modern equipments so that they can keep the Indian flag flying high in International Chess championships.
