Rahul Dravid has made another record in his illustrious career as he created the world record for the most number of Test catches by a fielder. Does it mean that this cricketer has long way to go before he retires like Ganguly, his co-cricketer?

Well Rituporna, this is really a great news for Indian cricket that Rahul Dravid has made world record for the highest number of Test catches. However, I don t think it does mean that he has long way to go before taking retirement. Though taking catch needs great level of reflection and fitness, I don t think that can be a criterion for deciding whether a cricketer would retire. Rahul Dravid has already established himself as one of the greatest Indian Cricketers of all time. Rather, I would say that Rahul Dravid s world record is actually a great advertisement of what a powerful bowling brigade India has had in the recent years. Who does not know that it is the credit of a bowler to force a batsman giving a catch to the fielder. So, I would like to congratulate Rahul Dravid and also all those Indian bowlers, who have helped Dravid making such a prestigious world record.

I feel Rahul Dravid truly has a long way to go, quite a tenacious man, who can never be weary of playing his own game. Legendary to have served as the gentleman of present Indian cricket team, Dravid has withstood several odds against him, at times which have been known to have turned hostile. His attitude while on-field, patience in handling situations and remaining unperturbed to criticisms, has made the man stand out in his game, lending him a special edge. Rahul Dravid s each innings has been measured with poise and elan. However does he possess the tenacity to stay back in the team for the some succeeding years, political as well as nasty game politics has made him stand more than once in the bitter limelight of controversy. More than once Dravid was cancelled off the list of active members while an ongoing series, touted as a senior member who was not capable to be fiery as the young guns . Now it remains only to be seen whether Rahul Dravid remains in the team with pride or is chucked off from the cricketing list. Just had his counterpart Sourav Ganguly had bear the axe of dirty politics, so can Dravid.

No doubt, that Rahul Dravid is still THE WALL in the middle order of Indian test team. Now, with the record of most number of Test catches in his kitty, this accurate technician of the game, with a brilliant temperament, has more goods to deliver. With his fitness level not creating any hindrances as such, Rahul Dravid is sure to continue and contribute. Way to Go....Mr.Dependable
Mr. Rahul Dravid has created a new record of taking maximum catches in the Test Cricket. It shows that he still have the caliber and concentration to play sensitive cricket but how long it will be decided by him on the basis of his fitness and continuous performance. Now a day we have many young players in the que for entry in the Indian Team. So, every player has to perform upto a certain level to remain in the test squad. At present the performance level of Mr Dravid shows that he deserve his place in the Indian Team.
