Shikad is a particular kind of soil that is eaten after burning it properly. This is a local name in Barak Valley of Assam. People earlier used to consume it and it is said to have a good taste. Vendors used to take this from door to door and housewives as well as children used to relish it. Please provide a detailed information on it if anyone knows about it.
