These days, a new trend of TV actors moving towards silver screen has become very popular. Starting from Prachi Desai, Aamna Shariff, Rajiv Khandelwal, Saakshi Tanwar and Ashutosh Rana being some of them. Most of them have not been able to hit the big screen even after being icon in TV. What do you say?

After the surprise success of Prachi Desai in ROCK ON, the scope for Television actors in Bollywood has grown manifold. Other actors like Shama Sikander, Amar Upadhay, Rajeev Khandelwal and other have been getting good offers in films. Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Suresh Menon, once renowned TV actors are now getting author backed roles in surprise hits like BHEJA FRY, KHOSLA KA GHOSLA etc. Bollywood has to widen up their approach as well as thinking as their kids have failed miserably to impress audiences.
Many stars of the small screen have shifted to the big Silver screen but the success rate is not very encouraging. Most of them have to come back for the regular roles, they get a break in the cinema but those could not sustain themself there. This can be because of their star cast image.

What I have observed is that big stars of Silver Screen who are no more popular or in demand now have slowly found their way to the small screen. In TV, they get themselves employed in mega serials and have a steady income. I have yet to see any popular TV star making big in the Silver screen.

You seem to have forgotten Shahrukh Khan who was a popular TV star before making it big in tinselville...But true, that such cases are few and far between. -

I also think so that big stars of Silver Screen who are no more popular or in demand now have slowly found their way to the small screen.
