Rosacea, or acne rosacea, is a type of skin disorder. This leads to redness and pimples on the areas like nose, forehead, cheekbones, and chin. The inflamed pimples and redness of rosacea look a great deal like acne. In ayurvedic medicine, acne rosacea is thought to occur because of excess heat in the blood. As this heat rises, it results in facial flushing. This is further aggravated by exposure to sun, stress, embarrassment and even eating spicy foods and is also aggravated due to drinking alcohol or coffee. Ayurveda therefore believes that reducing that internal heat is primarily important to get rid of this disease. Manjishta is an ayurvedic herb which is also used to treat acne rosacea. The antibacterial qualities of this herb help to eradicate pustules and it reduces inflammation and redness by cooling the blood.

Rosacea is a chronic condition characterized by facial erythema redness .Pimples are sometimes included as part of the definition. Unless it affects the eyes, it is typically a harmless cosmetic condition. Treatment, if wanted, usually involves topical medications to reduce inflammation. It is a common but often misunderstood condition that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. It primarily affects Caucasians of mainly northwestern European descent and has been nicknamed the curse of the Celts by some in Britain and Ireland, but can also affect people of other ethnicities. Rosacea affects both sexes, but is almost three times more common in women. It has a peak age of onset between 30 and 60. Rosacea typically begins as redness on the central face across the cheeks, nose, or forehead, but can also less commonly affect the neck, chest, ears, and scalp. In some cases, additional symptoms, such as semi-permanent redness, telangiectasia dilation of superficial blood vessels on the face , red domed papules small bumps and pustules, red gritty eyes, burning and stinging sensations, and in some advanced cases, a red lobulated nose rhinophyma , may develop.

Neem leaf is very useful to cure acne rosacea. Ayurveda prescribes medicines like Arogya-Vardhini, Maha-Manjishthadi-Qadha, Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu, Gandhak-Rasayan, Saarivadi-Churna, Tapyadi-Loh, Chandrakala-Ras, Manjishtha, Saariva , Nimba , Kutki , Patol , Patha and Khadeer for treating this disease. however, ayurveda also believes that curing rosacea becomes much simpler if detected in early stages. often rosacea cannot be cured by one method. Often the treatment includes a combination of methods and strict diet control.

Acne Rosacea is a skin disorder leading to redness and pimples on the face, cheeks, chin bones, forehead, and nose. In this black heads are not present at all. It is more commonly found in fair skinned people and those who flush easily. Homeopathic treatment is focussed on treating the person as a whole, alongwith due consideration to the pathophysiological condition. Homeopathic medicines for acne rosacea or any other disorder are selected only after individualization of the case. Hence, the remedies will differ from person to person. Your indicated remedy will be finalized by a homeopath only after your case has been individualized. Commonly indicated homeopathic remedies include: Sulphur, Asterias rubens, Belladona, Causticum, and Psorinum. However, it is advisable to seek expert homeopathic advice in order to obtain optimum results
