Hii Anjana...........Nutritionally, in the Ayurvedic tradition and specially is summer you should always attempt to put six food categories into each major meal: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent. however do not take major amount of salty food during summer

According to Ayurveda this summer season is the time for pitta aggravation. Hence a pitta pacifying diet is recommended. Cold and oily food should be consumed like milk, ghee prepared from cow s milk, as these food items are all good for the pitta.Spices like ginger, black pepper and foods, which are salty, sour and pungent should also be kept off.
