The earlier ironmongers forged iron instruments and traded them with people in exchange for the latter s livestock. However, in modern India iron crafted pieces have become a mark of ethnic interiors......I would like to know more about Iron crafts in India, its history and development...

Hi Priyadarshini, this cannot be denied that Indian arts and crafts mirror the country s rich cultural diversity. The earlier ironmongers forged iron instruments and traded them with people in exchange for the latter s livestock. As time passed, iron was being used heavily for making weapons and armory. Today, the traditional look of ironwork makes it suitable for use all around the home. Wrought iron is perhaps the latest innovation of Iron craft.

Hi friends....i want to share my view on wrought iron which is indeed an important part of the iron craft. I have decorated my flat with mostly iron furniture....Made for lifelong use, the extraordinary wrought iron crafts are very useful. The hand-hammered texture of wrought iron craft complements the furnishing used in traditional styled homes. Wrought iron crafts are meant for providing a unique opportunity to obtain a valuable glimpse of great Indian heritage. With the capability to blend well with all kinds of home interiors items, wrought iron crafts are occupying very special place in the market nowadays.
