Although it is played in South Indiam villages yet i do not think that this is a traditional Indian board game. i found out information which reveals the fact that the game existed in pockets of Europe and it is believed that it is played as early as the 17th century by merchants in England. However, other researches show that it is originally an African board game. People in India also played the game of mancala but how it was introduced is still a mystery.
