I PERSONALLY THINK that watching the mega serials are sheer wastage of time and energy. Mega serials helps the audience to shed buckets of tears or simply get carried away with reel life. Most of these serials also shows violence, particularly of domestic nature. I dont consider mega serials as a form of entertainment at all

Megah Serials...sigh....seems to have no ending. The episodes run into few hundreds and sometimes the original story is lost. I agree with you Ratri Basak, it IS a sheer waste of time and energy watching these serials.

Mega serials like Mahabharata, Ramayana and Chandrakanta were once loved by the audience very much. But now days, these have become very monotonous with saas-bahu saga. They start with one storyline and later the plot moves somewhere else, characters are lost inbetween, some of them vanish without rhyme or reason. The viewers are left in illusion on actually what the real plot was. So, all of u are very right saying that. Moreover, in hectic life everyone wants to get some entertainment while relaxing at home. So, who has the patience to watch these mega serials with never ending concept..

i agree with you Mr. Nath .. it is true that definitely we enjoyed mega serials like Ramayan and Mahabharat. we as a family enjoyed serials like Buniyaad .. However all has been replaced by the endless baseless saans bahu serials.. which hardly contribute anything to the mankind.

Excess of every thing is bad - we all know and it is equally true in each and every field. Every serial looks good in the begining but after some time its looses its s charm. If the serial have strong story and direction support it covers the gap but that s too for some time, after that time it becomes boring. So, serials with the limited time with good theme are liked by the viewers but mega serials upto some time only.

Yes i agree with you wholly.. Too much of everything is bad indeed and too much exploitation of human emotion is r=equally bad ... that what the mega serials does. How can they expect that by showing the endless saans bahu flicks they can increase the TRP.. High hopes indeed

Indeed.. we need serials with a specific storyline.. bound within a timeframe.. We are no fools to watch never ending stories xhanging every now and then to befit the mood of the storyteller.. Saans, Pachpan Khambe Lal Diware , Malgudi Days.. these were the serials which once dominated the little box .. we still need that charm..

Now a days the serials become a big business on small screen. It becomes very glamorius. And quality of the serials is very low.And i think there are many great writers in india but no one wants to touch the novels and all serial makers are busy in coping the forgien serials.....Every body is behind the money.so we can not watch the serials upto the marks.. It will be very good if small and good stories and within one/two episodes it should finish. There are many channels so at least one channel should start this.so that people will not see the serials of k series. thanks sangita
