The history of Christianity in India is traceable from the advent of St. Thomas during the middle of the first century with the advent of St. Thomas. There is another important view about the origin of Christianity in India One holds that Christianity came to India through the merchants and the missionaries of East Syrian or Persian Church . in regard to the origin of christianity the Indian tradition on the advent of St. Thomas to Malabar seems to be a very concrete tradition supported by lot of historical evidences.
