Kamasutra written by Vatsayana is the oldest existing textbook of erotic love. But i feel it is more about the art of living in the then India. Do you agree?If so than Why are we Opposing the Sex Education in Schools and Colleges.....?Why r we so Embrace to talk of it in Public..........

i agree with your first part that Kamasutra written by vatsayana is more than just being a handbook on love. Rather it is a doctrine teaching the ways of life. some of the chapters even reveal the ways how to be the best wife. However, discussion about such topics have always been vague in India. The reason for this is perhaps because we uphold some cultural prejudices till date.

Out of curiosity I recently browsed through an English version of Kamasutra. It is advisable that everyone who is married should at least once go through this text...the oldest version of English translation is available on internet also. It is conspicuous that the author mentions many more such works before his own which means that there was a sincere effort to educate people about the physiology of reproduction and parenting. On this testimony, I do not borrow that there are cultural prejudices that obstruct any public discourse on such topics. At the same time, I strongly disagree that the so-called sex education should be part of our curriculum. For, wherever such practice is adopted, there has been disturbing upsurge in unmarried pregnancies. I do not know why people advocate such courses which are going to create more social problems. Instead, I would strongly recommend that all newly married couples must read this text for a successful married and thereafter parental life. Those who hallucinate that the sex education is going to make people aware of genital problems etc., they must know that there are people following moral path without doing any course in Ethics and there are corrupt professors who have spent whole of their life in teaching and discussing moral principles.
