I believe that we, Hindus don t worship cows. We respect, honor and adore the cow. By honoring this gentle animal, who gives more than she takes, we honor all creatures. I would like to have opinion from our honourable members in this regard.

I agree with you Mr. Rajendra Prasad, we do not worship the cow but honour and respect the animal simply because for the Hindus it is the symbol of wealth, strength, abundance and selfless giving. Cow is also said to be the Mother of all motherless children as it provides the milk for the infants. It has also been the beast of burden for thousands of years in India. To honour the cow s service to the Hindu community it is also referred as the sacred animal
