We are very much familiar with the board game `Ludo` . During our childhood days, it used to be one of the common indoor games. But have you ever paid attention to the meaning of its name? I recently came to know about it so thought of sharing... Ludo is a Latin word which means `I Play` .

Ludu is known by different names in different countries. But interestingly in Norway and Denmark, the game is also called as Ludo.

We still play this game at our home during our free time. It`s a nice platform to bond with family members.

Well Neel, you have your reasons to not like this game. Of course opinions and interests vary. But I don`t agree with your statement `Ludo is a very boring game`. It would have sounded better if you had said `I find Ludo boring`. Sorry for the rude remark but I couldn`t keep my mouth shut.

There is a depiction of ludo game in the caves of Ajanta in Maharashtra. The sculptural beauty of Ajanta has the earliest evidence of Ludo game.
