Yes Drishti, you are right. But I think you are unaware of the fact that her ranking has dropped within three days of her achievement. As per latest news, she lost the No. 1 spot after losing the semifinals to China s Li Xuerui at the Malaysia Open Super Series Premier.

There is no doubt about it, Drishti. She is the first Indian woman to become world number 1. She is a very determined and strong player. She did not sound heartbroken even after loosing the position. She simply said that she will reach the top again. I like her sportsman spirit. Currently she is World No. 2 as per the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

Guys, do you know that Chinese media once called her Black Horse for her mind boggling performance? In 2009 a newspaper of that country wrote `Indian black horse is the toughest of challengers`. It feels great.
