There are many temples in India that are associated with some mysterious legends and myths. And it is also believed to be a fact in the present days. Some mysterious things still happen in the temples. For example every year a Shivling is formed out of ice at Amarnath. Another one is that Kamakshya Devi is famous as the bleeding goddess. The mythical womb and vagina of Shakti are supposedly installed in the temple. In the month of Ashaad June the goddess bleeds or menstruates. Guys share some more interesting facts of Indian temples.

Why say Hindu temples are associated with Myths? Why use the word Myth? The word Myth is something which is not real but a tale. If it is a tale, why do you still in present times find bleeding goddess, Shivling formed out of ice in Amarnath, milk drinking deities and so on. These are things we see by our own eyes. These are miracles created by the Hindu Gods. The word `Myth` was only used for Greek Gods but now it is slowly finding it`s way to Hinduism and Hindu Gods through unscrupulous individuals. Please for goodness sake being a Hindu NEVER use the word `Myth` to refer to Hinduism or Hindu Gods/deities. Be proud of your religion.

Maniam PS, this post is not meant to hurt anybody`s religious sentiments, but we also value your point of view. Yes, the word MIRACLE would be more apt for this post, but the word MYTH is used for those people who are unfortunate to witness the miracle but are only able to know from elders or grand-parents.
