This is a very interesting topic I must say. I have heard that Assam celebrates Holi for 3-5 long days. Is this true?

Holi is regarded with the name of Phagwah or the festival of colours in Assam. It is a 3-5 day affair for the people residing in here. Barpeta is known to celebrate it in an entirely unique and grand style. Holi Gandha is celebrated by thousands of devotees coming from different places of Assam and outside. In the courtyard in front of the math the idol of lord Shri Krishna is worshiped by the parmanent priests of the Barpeta Satra.
