During a surprise inspection of the Health Department institutions in the villages conducted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, seven officials including two doctors were found absent from duty on a particular day. Dont you think the realisation of responsibility has almost vanished from almost all professions? especially even from doctors who are supposed to be the life givers in the society...
This is a common scene in every social sector Anju, if doctors would have been responsible, dogs could not have picked babies from hospital beds. Responsibility is not realized by anyone that leads to various kinds of problems and complications in almost all aspects of living.

Well, I think responsibility is a huge term and cannot be confined to doctors only. We cannot generalise too as there are still many doctors in the country, who are serving whole heartedly in remote parts of the country. But, yes u r right saying that many doctors are found in such inspections. But here also we cannot solely blame the doctors as in these areas government also hardly provides good facilities for the doctors. Afterall, they are also human being and need some basic facilities. Most of the government facilities are left with no care, medicine or equipments. These doctors face lots of problems while handling patients with these limited facilities. Basic sanitary system and healthcare facilities are must in every government hospitals so that doctors do not run away and feel good while serving. Now, government has made it mandatory for the doctors to serve in any rural area for a particular period and I think it is a good decision if the govt also provides the doctors good appraisal for that. They are also professionals but yes with great responsibility of saving life of people. And talking about dogs running away with babies, it is not the sole duty of a doctor to protect the babies. Other hospital staffs and even the parents should be responsible for this. Moreover, infrastructure of the hospitals can be also a good reason for such incidents otherwise how a dog can enter so easily in a hospital. By saying this, I am not taking the sides of irresponsible and greedy doctors, who just want to earn money from this holy profession.
